Neil Lamson receives applause during Pomfret Town Meeting, Tuesday, March 4, 2014, to recognize his service to the town during his time on the select board. Only two weeks before the meeting Lamson resigned from his position so that he could then run against his fellow selectman Michael Reese. Reese will stay in office after taking 56 votes over Lamson's 29.
